The plot of this rp runs in two separate ways.
Past.
Present.
Please designate in what time period you are posting by putting it in your title: Past or Present. It makes things less complicated.
Old World Plot
In 1290 B.C., the Akkadian warrior is on a mission to destroy the tyrant Memnon - and to kill his sorceress. Simultaneously, Anck Su Namun and Imhotep consummate their affair - and develop a plan to kill the Pharoah. It is rumor that Imhotep wishes to ally himself with Memnon in order to overthrow Seti. The Pharoah's daughter, Nefertiri, guardian of the Bracelet of Anubis - suspects and strives to stop them with the help of the Medjai. Resurrection, torture, spells and enchantments await. It is said that he who owns the Bracelet and the Sceptor of Osiris is immortal - the gods favor with victory the one who has the both.
Unfortunately, the Sceptor is missing from the Pharoah's treasury - and is rumored to be hidden in Hamunaptra, a holy city wrought with curses. The only one who knows where the Sceptor is...is the sorceress. And everyone is vying for the information.
Present Plot
When Jonathan Carnahan, a thief and a womanizer - steals an Egyptian artifact from a drunk in Thebes, he brings it to his sister, an Egyptologist in Cairo. Evelyn and Jonathan unlock the hint - it is a map to the lost city of Hamunaptra. Tracking down the American drunk in a Cairo prison, Evey hires him [O'Connel] to take her to the holy city. Accompanying them is a crew of American treasure hunters - also looking for the Pharoah's gold. There is a traitor in their midst, a strange woman, Meela Nais, with her quartet of assassins has ancient knowledge of the city that no ordinary human should.
She's not looking for treasure - she's looking for something else. Little do they know that their actions will lead to the consummation of a curse. Upon arrival, they meet with disaster. The Medjai attempt to force them to leave, and traps await for those foolish enough to attempt to rob the Seti temple blind. In awakening Imhotep - they bring about the ten plagues of Egypt, and that's not all.
Awakening Imhotep also rips the bind in the afterlife between him and Memnon - simultaneously, the tyrant himself has been awoken, in the depths of a tomb in the golden pyramid of Ahm Sher. His immortal army of Anubian soldiers grows stronger, and should he catch the sorceress or the Sceptor, the world is finished. Should Imhotep and Memnon again ally themselves - they would bring about the next Apocalyptic Age.
The only one capable of stopping Memnon? The Scorpion King, Mathayus. A woman, Cassandra, is drawn to Egypt by the threatening pull of prophecy. The power of her one-time master, even in reincarnation, is strong. Should she find the Sceptor, she could free herself from his grasp. But should she fall to him, she could doom everyone. Meanwhile, Memnon has a personal score to settle - with Mathayus - and will destroy any in his way to find the Akkadian.
