Family: His parents are deceased, but he's very close to his younger sister Evie
Occupation: Egyptian "archaeologist", pretty much a n'er-do-well drunk and a treasure hunter
Personality:
A big n'er do well. He's a liar and a thief - self involved and cocky; pretty sarcastic, not brave in the least. He cares about one thing - himself. And booze. And money. Treasure dominates his thoughts; the only person he really cares about other than himself is his baby sister. Besides, women like a man who takes care of his family. He's a womanizer and he exaggerates; he's not a real big fighter, and he'll run if he can. He's not an idiot, and he can be very resourceful, intelligent, if it benefits him.
Likes: treasure, cars, money, women, liquor, being lazy and occasionally tormenting his sister, trying to sell fake artifacts
Dislikes: camels, getting caught, working, jail, fighting, mummies, curses, basically anything that's dangerous to him
History:
Jonathan is the older brother to Evie Carnahan; he lives with his sister and is pretty much worthless. Spends most of his time loitering around Cairo looking for opportunities to get-rich-quick via treasure hunting - sometimes stealing - and drinking his problems away. He's a real fan of the pub, not really of working...at all. He's not much of a scholar, though he calls himself an archaeologist. He can read Egyptian, and he's pretty knowledgable about ancient history; he could be an Egyptologist, but he's more interested in the wealth. He's in Cairo because he's looking for treasure - after pickpocketing a guy in a bar, he's hoping his sister can tell him how much the trinket's worth. He wants to find Hamunaptra, and enough treasure to never have to work another day in his life.
